I love people. I love their expressions. I love their mannerisms. Good, bad, ugly (ugly?), I love people.
When I paint, I like to keep it fresh, in a sitting or two, if I can, but getting that first ‘impression’, if you will, is important to me. I want to capture their essence.
This is Lydia. She’s sitting still just long enough to capture a photo. She’s energetic, as most toddlers are, a cuddler and a very loving soul. That’s where I was headed with this painting, the soft side of this wonderful little girl.
“Lydia”, 8″ x 10″, Acrylic on Canvas.
